Within the framework of Clim-A-Net, existing postgraduate programmes at the partner universities in the field of Environment and Sustainability are linked and advanced in order to train experts in different fields of sustainable development and climate adaptation. Clim-A-Net aims to develop joint thematic modules which focus on climate impact/adaptation research in a development context, to realize teach-the teacher qualification workshops at the partner institutions, to organize team teaching in Master´s Courses and to integrate the latest findings and results from the Clim-A-Net project into postgraduate studies.

Furthermore, Clim-A-Net facilitates academic training of young scientists and future managers of climate change on an international and interdisciplinary level. Postgraduate students currently enrolled at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) can be awarded with a scholarship funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to participate in one of the postgraduate programmes of the MasterCluster "Environment and Sustainability" at Oldenburg University.

The project also enables PhD students to do research at one of the partner universities as well as post-docs and senior scientists.

Students and academics of the participating universities interested in academic exchange within the Clim-A-Net project find all required information on their stay at the University of Oldenburg on Exchange Information.
